In August 2024, the time had finally come for me to fulfil my dream of going to the land down under! After settling in and buying a car, off I went — starting the road trip of a lifetime with one goal in mind: travelling all around Australia and seeing as much as possible.
One year later, after successfully and proudly completing this mission, I now look back on this time and can’t stop thinking about all the unforgettable experiences. Here are some of my highlights in 11 pictures:
1. Making it all the way through the Outback to the Red Centre to see Uluru.
2. Walking through a landscape unlike anything I’ve ever seen before — Kings Canyon, which looks like it’s not from this earth.
3. Exploring the Great Barrier Reef and immersing myself in a completely new world underwater.
4. Seeing the Whitsundays and Heart Reef from above — an absolute bucket-list tick-off!
5. Witnessing unreal sunsets in Broome and walking on the whitest beaches in Cape Range Nationalpark.
6. Finally reaching Purnululu National Park and watching Echidna Chasm glow in the sunlight.
