Cape York Birding

Discover the wild beauty of Cape York on a seven-day birding and wildlife tour. Citizen Scientist for a day – Rainforest Tablelands, Far North Queensland

Go ‘behind-the-scenes’ to access areas of rainforest not open the public and become a citizen scientist for a day, working alongside wildlife experts to assist with important local research that aims to preserve the endangered spotted tail quoll in the World Heritage Wet Tropics of Far North Queensland. Rarely seen in the wild, these Tiger Quolls are the world’s largest marsupial mammals, and cousins of the already extinct Tasmanian Tiger. They share this spectacular part of the world with a rich array of other Australian marsupials, reptiles and birds. Available as a day-trip or a very rewarding multi-day experience from Cairns.

Kangaroo Island Conservation – Kangaroo Island, South Australia

Often referred to as Australia’s ‘Galapagos’, Kangaroo Island is home to an impressive diversity of native wildlife: koalas, kangaroos, echidna, dolphins, fur seals and sea lions, birdlife and more.
